Chatsworth House is the residence of the Duke of Devonshire. Completed in 1708, this Derbyshire Grade 1 listed residence is one of the finest royal homes in England. In 2008, an extensive restoration project was undertaken. David was the lead stone mason on this ten-month project, which included:
- Coordinate with Conservation Architects and Estate Management
- Full re-point of the front façade
- Full restoration of the Devonshire Coat of Arms
- Replacement of colonnade blocks
- Extensive restoration of heavily enriched cornice and string course
- Removal and restoration of urns on the front façade, including gold leafing
- Repair and rebuild of sections of the boundary retaining wall
